Faundit
- Introduction
- These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Faundit’s services (“Services”). By accessing or using Faundit’s Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
- Faundit ApS, (CVR-no. 40990062) ("Faundit"), acts as an intermediary between the freight company/courier, Faundit’s partner where the item is lost (“Partner”), and the owner of the lost item. - The Partner
- The Partner in possession of a lost item is responsible for storing the item safely.
- The Partner and its staff are not entitled to any finder's fee.
- Eligibility
- Only the owner of the lost item has a valid claim to the item. By completing the transaction, you confirm that you are either the owner of the item or are acting on behalf of the owner of the item. Faundit reserves the right to deny any transactions that do not meet this criterion.
- The Services is available exclusively to individuals and entities that possess a valid credit/debit card issued by a bank acceptable to Stripe. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
- Conditions of carriage
- General conditions of the selected courier solution apply. Please review the specific conditions of the chosen shipping product. For instance:
- Local customs authorities may impose VAT or other charges, and in such instances Faundit bears no responsibility or obligation for these charges.
- The courier may deliver the package to any individual present at the address provided by you. In the event that the delivery is unsuccessful, the package may be stored at a designated Pickup Point or redirected to an alternative delivery address. The recipient will be duly notified of such changes.
- The courier provides insurance coverage in accordance with their general conditions for items that are lost or damaged while in their possession, cf. the links provided under clause 4. The value of the item and the extent of the damage must be proven through a dialogue with the courier.
- Items will only be shipped on weekdays.
- Incorrect information
- The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information, hence the customer will receive the Services as specified and paid for based on the details provided and the Services selected.
- If the address or item details provided by you are incorrect, or if the item arrives late to the specified address due to such inaccuracies, no refunds will be issued.
- If the package is delivered to the specified address but received by someone other than the designated recipient, neither the courier nor Faundit will assume responsibility for the delivery.
- Cancellation and refund
- The Services encompasses shipment and coordination. Consequently, at the moment of payment, the Service is considered consumed. If the shipment has not yet been dispatched, you can request a refund. However, once the shipment has been dispatched, you forfeit any right to cancellation or refund.
- The number of days in transit is provided as a guideline, and deviations from the estimated transit time may occur.
- Payment
- Payments conditions are subject to Stripe.com (Atlas) Checkout User Terms of Service, which are available at https://stripe.com/dk/checkout/legal.
- No extra fees will be charged beyond the initial payment. However, if the delivery information provided is incorrect, Faundit reserves the right to request an additional fee to cover the cost of shipping the item with the correct information.
- By completing the payment, you confirm that the credit/debit card being used is either yours or that you have been authorized by the card owner to use it. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment, Faundit will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
- The price listed includes VAT for countries within the EU. For countries outside the EU, VAT is not included.
- In the event that customs authorities impose any fees, Faundit will not be held accountable for these costs.
- Data protection
- Information provided to Stipe.com is treated in accordance with their Terms of Service. For more details, please refer to: https://stripe.com/en-dk/legal/ssa.
- Faundit does not disclose personal data to third parties. Faundit solely uses data provided by Partners to perform a service on their behalf.
- Faundit will delete personal data when it is no longer relevant for the service provided. This deletion will occur no later than three months after the Service is completed.

- Claims & Insurance
- All claims regarding lost or damaged goods must be directed to the selected courier. The selected couriers’ standard compensation conditions apply, cf. the links provided under clause 4. Faundit will not be involved in matters concerning lost or damaged goods but offers to help deal with the case.
- Faundit offers optional insurance for lost or damaged items shipped through Faundit’s lost and found hotel service. This insurance covers the replacement value of the item, up to a maximum claim of €700.
- If you have chosen to make use of Faundit’s optional insurance, cf. clause 10.2, you must notify Faundit in writing within:
- 10 days after receiving the item from the courier for damage claims.
- 50 days after the courier picked up the item from the venue for lost item claims.
- All claims must include the following information to facilitate a smooth claims process. Additional documentation will only be requested if necessary to verify your claim:
- Shipment details including tracking ID and the personal details used for the purchase of the insurance.
- A detailed description of the lost or damaged item, including the contents of items with the capacity to hold other items. (e.g, bag with t-shirt, pants, charger).
- Proof of the item's value at the time of shipment (e.g., receipt, purchase confirmation including date).
- Any other relevant documentation requested by Faundit regarding the claim.
- To ensure a fair and accurate assessment, we may request additional information such as photos of the damage or photos of the pre-shipment condition. We will evaluate your claim using established industry standards for depreciation and consider the item's wear and tear (e.g., age, condition) when determining the replacement value. The assessment will be conducted fairly and transparently, and you will receive it in writing.
- Upon approval of a valid claim, Faundit will reimburse you for the replacement value of the lost or damaged item, up to a maximum of €700. The replacement value will be determined based on the item's condition and age at the time of shipment.
- Faundit will not be liable for any sentimental or emotional value associated with the lost or damaged item, nor for any consequential losses arising from the loss or damage.
- This insurance is only valid for items shipped through Faundit's lost and found hotel service.
- Faundit reserves the right to amend these insurance clauses at any time. We will notify you of any changes in advance.
- The item's availability
- The Service can be offered at the moment the item is found. Once the item is processed as legal acts demand, the item may no longer be available.
- If the item is no longer in the Partner's possession after the payment for the Service has been made, you will be informed about this and your payment will be refunded.
- Governing Law
- The Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark without giving effect to the rules relating to conflict of laws. Any dispute arising out of the agreement and Terms may solely be brought before a Danish court.
